Wood:

SLEEPI™ is crafted from cultivated European beech wood, a renewable resource, which offers durability, is environmentally friendly and longevity of product. All metal parts are made from recycled metal. We use formaldehyde-free non-toxic stain.

The beech wood is the hardest available wood to craft furniture from. We back our furniture with a 5-year guarantee.

Mattress:

STOKKE™ uses the highest quality foam mattress for SLEEPI™. The Welun® polyurethane foam is based on the most expensive and best raw materials available and is specially developed for mattress use. The “open-cell” structure of the foam is a result of a special manufacturing process, with each batch being tested for proper air-flow through the foam. Open-cell foam dries quickly, breathes well and is self-ventilating, helping to keep baby from getting to hot during sleep, which gives parents extra peace-of-mind. We also go an extra step by subjecting the mattresses to a special "crunching" treatment designed to remove the majority of unwanted residues and odors.

Our mattress has a very firm, high density foam of 2.5lbs/sq.ft that provides excellent support and perfect softness for you child. In fact this type of foam is used by hospitals for premature baby mattresses. It is not uncommon for parents to prefer the comfort of a high quality foam mattress for their young child versus a traditional innerspring mattress, which may provide more firmness than is required for small children.
